McLachlin Returns to PGA Tour after Week Off4.17.2008Hilton Head, S.C. – Parker McLachlin heads to Hilton Head, S.C. this weekend for the Verizon Heritage, his ninth PGA Tour event of 2008. He looks to build on his recent strong performance in the Zurich Classic of New Orleans on Mar. 30, where he tied for 12th, shooting 7-under par. McLachlin played in the Verizon Heritage for the first time in 2007, but did not make the cut. McLachlin returns to play this week after taking last weekend off. In his last tournament, the Shell Houston Open on Apr. 6, McLachlin started strong, shooting a 71 on Day One. But a three-over-par 74 on the second day saw him barely miss the cut. Through eight events in 2008, McLachlin has earned $356,720, which ranks 93rd on the 2008 PGA Tour Money List. McLachlin’s earnings through the first eight events of 2008 more than double his 2007 earnings through eight PGA Tour events. McLachlin has made the cut in five of his eight events this season, finishing in the Top 25 three times. His best performance of the season was at the Sony Open in his native Hawaii, where he finished 6-under par to tie for 10th. McLachlin is set to tee off at 1:30 EDT. |
