McLACHLIN  FINISHES FIFTH AT THE TURNING STONE RESORT CHAMPIONSHIP

VERONA, N.Y. – Parker McLachlin tied for fifth place at the PGA TOUR's Turning Stone Resort Championship last weekend with a 14-under par 274. McLachlin's fifth place finish was a career best on Tour.

With the strong showing, McLachlin earned $203,400 and vaulted up 23 spots to No. 133 on the PGA TOUR's money list.

McLachlin carded solid rounds of 70 and 68 on the first two days of the tournament before firing a 7-under 65 on Saturday, the low round of the day. He secured his fifth place finish with a 71 on Sunday.

The Turning Stone Resort Championship is the first of seven events in the "Fall Finish," a series of tournaments to close out the official money season. These tournament are the final opportunity for players to secure their Tour Card for the 2008 season.

McLachlin's performance at the Turning Stone Resort Championship was especially important in his quest to secure his playing status for the 2008 season. The top 125 players on the PGA TOUR money list at the end of the year are granted full status on the PGA TOUR for 2008. Players ranked 126-150 are given conditional status in 2008.

Next up for McLachlin and the PGA TOUR is the Viking Classic this Thursday-Sunday the Annandale Golf Club in Madison, Miss.
